Hi, I'm Marlena & thank you for visiting my page. I am excited to share a little about myself with you! Since I was a little girl, I have always been passionate about hair and makeup. Yes, I was one of those young girls who used to cut her barbie doll’s hair and had my first makeup kit at the age of 12. I loved everything about it, and I knew from an early age that I was going to forge my career in the hair and makeup industry.
My Story
Almost 30 years ago, I began my hairdressing career on the Gold Coast and it wasn’t long until I expanded my skill set to understand skin and makeup. This allowed me to gain further employment assisting with wedding hair & makeup parties.
From there, I ventured into a freelance career and I have also spent the last 10 years as a key hair & makeup artists at Network Ten in Brisbane working on news presenter, reality shows, The Logies and much more.
My current professional experience includes; Head Makeup and Hair Stylist at Network Ten, wedding hair & make up, and operating my own personal business, Marlena Maree Hair & Makeup from my studio on the Sunshine Coast.
I thrive working in all aspects of my work from branding projects, freelancing, weddings, working for TV and my studio where I offer hairdressing and makeup services via appointment.
As you can see I have devoted my career to helping women feel beautiful and confident on the inside and out.
I am also a big advocate for mindfulness and I love personal development and working on the deeper side of ourselves.
There is no greater feeling than knowing your worth and that you can achieve anything!
